SpicyGen reference to motion: inspect the intermediate image

The current policy distinguishes a reference-processing stage from animation. Review each stage before judging resemblance or continuity.

What changed in the published input description

SpicyGen’s October 6, 2026 AI policy describes uploaded-photo analysis that produces a new fictional reference rather than directly animating the original photograph. An older statement that real photographs are simply unsupported should not be carried forward as current guidance.

The practical consequence is that the approved reference and the original source are different review objects. Changes that already appear in the reference cannot be attributed solely to the later motion stage.

Separate reference fidelity from shot quality

For a non-graphic fictional scene, write down the visible elements that matter: a plain jacket, a blue background and a simple framing choice. Then inspect the intermediate reference for those elements before considering motion. Avoid judging likeness to a real person or attempting to reproduce somebody’s identity.

If the reference already has a different background, record that fact before the clip begins. A smooth clip of a changed scene may be technically coherent while failing the original ordinary project brief.

Keep a two-stage review sheet

Use separate columns for the reference and the moving result. At the first stage, inspect composition and visible details. At the second, inspect whether those details stay stable through time. This prevents an attractive final frame from hiding an earlier change.

Mark each issue with the stage where it first appears. If a background edge warps only during motion, that is different from a reference that started with the wrong shape. The distinction helps explain a result without claiming knowledge of the model’s internal behavior.

Do not turn one output into a general promise

A single reference and clip provide one observation. They do not establish that all inputs will behave the same way. Keep the source category, available settings and date beside the note. Policy and interface changes can make an old observation less useful later.

This guide describes a non-graphic evaluation method. It publishes no test results, output gallery or instructions for producing sexual content.
